The 50th Xinjiang Cadre Economic Management Training Class Opens

Recently, the opening ceremony of the 50th Xinjiang Cadre Economic Management Training Class (hereafter called "Xinjiang Class") was held at the College of Management and Economics (hereafter called CoME) of Tianjin University (hereafter called TJU). Lei Ming, deputy party secretary of TJU, Mao Zhao-fang, party secretary of the CoME of TJU, Cai Jian-shuang, director of the Non Academic Continuing Education Office of TJU Graduate School, and students of Xinjiang Class attended the opening ceremony together. Lei Ming, on behalf of TJU, congratulated the opening of the 50th Xinjiang Cadre Economic Management Training Class and welcomed the arrival of the students. She pointed out that the Xinjiang class has been open for 34 consecutive years since its inception in 1990. Over the past 34 years, TJU has continuously innovated training methods, carefully selected teachers, improved training systems, and strengthened service management. It has trained more than 2,200 outstanding young and middle-aged cadres for the construction and development of Xinjiang. In 2023, Yang Xian-jin, the Party secretary of TJU, went to Xinjiang to have discussions and exchanges with the organizational departments of the autonomous region and alumni representatives of the Xinjiang Class. He listened to their opinions and suggestions and put forward higher requirements for the training work, hoping that students of the 50th training class can live up to the organization's expectations and fully complete the training tasks. This training course period overlaps with the time for the entire Party to carry out party discipline learning and education. It is expected that the temporary party branch of the class, guided by Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, will organize party members and leading cadres to seriously study the "Regulations", so as to learn discipline, know discipline, and observe discipline, and engrave compliance with the rules in their hearts and internalized into the code of words and deeds. Mao Zhao-fang extended a warm welcome to the Xinjiang cadres participated in the training on behalf of CoME. He introduced the historical evolution of the development of management education at TJU to everyone, as well as the situation of the college in disciplinary construction, talent cultivation, social services, and other aspects. He mentioned that the economic management training for Xinjiang cadres has always received strong support from various departments of the college and the university. This year marks the 40th anniversary of the establishment CoME and the 46th anniversary of the resumption of management education. The 50th Xinjiang class coincides with a good opportunity, and he hopes that all students can seize this rare learning opportunity, concentrate on learning, and improve skills from it. In the future, upon returning to work, with a new identity as an alumnus of TJU, and by aligning with the practical needs in their work, they can make more contributions to the social and economic development of Xinjiang.

Ge Lei, deputy party secretary of the Temporary Party Branch of the 50th Xinjiang class, delivered a statement on behalf of the trainees. He mentioned tha they should bear in mind the mission and responsibility, live up to the expectations and love of the organization, effectively transform the important speech spirit of General Secretary Xi Jin-ping during his visit in Xinjiang into a political belief in absolute loyalty to the Party, combining training and learning with accelerating the construction of the core area of the Silk Road Economic Belt, building the "Eight Major Industrial Clusters", and the construction of the Xinjiang Pilot Free Trade Zone, striving for a new improvement in theoretical level, a new enhancement in ideological realm, a new enhancement in ability and quality, and new achievements in work.

With the successful conclusion of the opening ceremony, the 50th Xinjiang class officially kicked off.
